--- title: GitHub team sync | Stainless description: Sync GitHub teams with Stainless role mapping. --- GitHub team sync is a paid feature. See our [pricing page](https://stainless.com/pricing) for details. GitHub team sync is an additional option for enterprise customers that provides more granular control than [syncing every GitHub member](/docs/guides/sync-github-members/index.md). With GitHub team sync, you pick specific GitHub teams to sync to Stainless and map each team to a Stainless role. - GitHub team members are automatically assigned the Stainless role associated with their GitHub team - [Nested GitHub teams](https://docs.github.com/en/organizations/organizing-members-into-teams/about-teams#nested-teams) inherit their parent’s role, so users belonging to teams without an assigned role are assigned the role associated with the closest parent team - Users assigned to multiple non-nested teams are assigned the most permissive role associated with the teams they belong to [Secret teams](https://docs.github.com/en/organizations/organizing-members-into-teams/changing-team-visibility) are not currently supported. [Contact us](mailto:support@stainless.com) if you’re interested in this feature. Changes to GitHub members and teams sync to Stainless in about a minute.
