--- title: GitHub member sync | Stainless description: Sync GitHub organization members with your Stainless org in real time. Access is updated automatically based on GitHub org membership. --- GitHub member sync is a paid feature. See our [pricing page](https://stainless.com/pricing) for details. In addition to managing your organization’s team members manually, you can sync your organization’s members with a GitHub organization. To set up and configure GitHub member sync: 1. If you don’t have it installed yet, [install the Stainless GitHub app](/docs/sdks/publish#install-the-stainless-github-app/index.md) 2. Go to your [Stainless dashboard](https://app.stainless.com/) 3. Navigate to the project you want to configure GitHub member sync for 4. Go to the **Members** tab 5. Press the **Sync with GitHub** button 6. Choose **Edit sync settings** If you have already invited users to Stainless, make sure they are also in your GitHub org before turning on sync. Otherwise they will lose access. There are two options for syncing: - **Full org**: All GitHub org members get access to your Stainless organization. Users with a Stainless account are added immediately, new users are invited to sign up and then are allowed access. Users are granted Editor access, and you can change their role freely in the dashboard. - **Team sync**: Pick the specific teams in GitHub that will have access to Stainless, and map each one to a Stainless role. GitHub team sync is an enterprise feature. [Learn more about GitHub team sync](/docs/enterprise/github-team-sync/index.md) in our enterprise feature documentation. Changes to GitHub organization members should be reflected in Stainless within a minute. Once GitHub sync is enabled you can no longer manually invite users to your organization, add them to the corresponding GitHub org or team instead.
