GitHub team sync is an additional option for enterprise customers that provides more granular control than syncing every GitHub member.
With GitHub team sync, you pick specific GitHub teams to sync to Stainless and map each team to a Stainless role.
- GitHub team members are automatically assigned the Stainless role associated with their GitHub team
- Nested GitHub teams inherit their parent’s role, so users belonging to teams without an assigned role are assigned the role associated with the closest parent team
- Users assigned to multiple non-nested teams are assigned the most permissive role associated with the teams they belong to
